Follow Friday – If you are a fan of Science Fiction what is your favorite book? If you haven't read Science Fiction before...any inkling to? Anything catch your eye?
It’s safe to say that one of us Bibliomaniacs is mildly into science fiction while the other one is most certainly not into science fiction. We’ll let the reader judge each of us accordingly. For the Bibliomaniac that is into science fiction, below is a quick list of his favorite books within this lovely genre.
2. Ender’s Game – Orson Scott Card
3. Starship Troopers – Robert A. Heinlein
4. The War of the Worlds – H.G. Wells
There you have it. As you can tell we’ve only broke the surface, so we are very anxious to hear some of your favorite titles!
Hi guys, old follower paying a visit. I'm not big into sci-fi either. Seeing your list maybe I've read a few more of that genre than first came to mind. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI like sci-fi but oddly enough, I haven't read that many books (moreso movies). A great sci-fi(ish) book is K-PAX by Gene Brewer, which is especially good for those not sure about sci-fi because it blends together with fantasy, drama & even comedy.
ReplyDeleteOh, I loved War of the Worlds. Great choice. Hitchhiker I didn't care for. Dune - I hated. Ender's Game has been on my TBR list forever. :) I hope you guys have an awesome Friday.
ReplyDeleteNew follower, thanks for stopping by! At least one of you was able to answer this week's question. Have a great weekend :)
ReplyDeleteThere's that Ender's Game again... must be a pretty good book! On all the lists. Haven't read it though! So who is the sci-fi buff? Don't see many sci-fi reviews on here? Come on! Tell! Have a great weekend!

Hey! I forgot I read The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy! Totally forgot about that. Your list is 5 books longer than most of the lists (or non lists) that I've come across today
ReplyDeleteHopping through. I've hardly read any sci fi, but I did like Ender's Game.

I first read HHGTTG in junior high. Didn't make a lot of sense to me. I read it again in my twenties and I loved it.
ReplyDeleteEnder's Game is the book I've probably read the most of any book ever. I'd say I've read it maybe six times. It's wonderful.
Dune was pretty incredible, once I got into it. The follow-up books were never able to reel me in, though.
I'm not sure about my all-time top five, but A Wrinkle in Time is certainly on the list.
Does The Time-Traveler's Wife count as sci-fi? 'Cause that was pretty good, too.
What about Little Lost Alien? It's this book my son has and on the last page, when Little Alien finds his friends, you push a button and all the stars light up. Not on my list, but definitely noteworthy.

DUNE changed my life. Okay, maybe not that drastic, but it really had an impact on me! I love it!
