Four Bibliomaniacs???

We’d like to officially introduce the two newest members of our team!  We’d also like to pose the following question:  What are some good books for young kids?  We had a lot of fun with James and the Giant Peach and are anxiously looking for our next selection.
Special thanks to Lavish Photography for capturing our families slight book addiction!

  1. That's absolutely lovely! I, too, have a girl and a boy -- but my boy is NOT a reader, no matter how hard I try. Can't go wrong with Roald Dahl.

  2. That is so awesome, what a great hobby to share! The picture is super adorable too. James and the Giant Peach was one of my favorites growing-up, another book I read numerous times was My Father's Dragon by Ruth Stiles Gannett.

  4. Have they read The 200lb Man (www.matthewdbeers.blogspot.com)? It's full of insight and love. And poop jokes.

  6. We are a reading family also, but don't look have as stylish as yours!
We've done a lot of read-alouds over the years, but the favorites that come to mind are Half Magic, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, My Father's Dragon series, Charlotte's Web.

  7. We just started reading the Magic Treehouse series together (my kids are 4 and 5.5 so it's mostly me reading it to them) and they're really enjoying it. It's our first foray into reading something besides picture books.
